Meet Ham Yard Vintage

About Us

Ham Yard Vintage is an organic family business run by Guy and his daughter Violet.

Guy hand-picks every item in France, searching markets and fairs for unique finds. He also handles most of the customer queries. Violet photographs, lists, and carefully packs each order, making sure everything leaves the shop in great shape.

Our Story

Guy has been a collector of all things old, antique, and vintage for decades. Early mornings spent digging through flea markets became a lifelong habit, and when his finds began to outgrow his space, he decided to share them with others.

Born and bred in London, Guy grew up in the heart of the mod scene. As a teenager, he ran stalls at Greenwich, Portobello, and Camden, selling top vintage gear and collectables.

He has always worn second-hand, driven classic Italian scooters and German cars, and collected original 1960s American vinyl.

His favourite eras are the 1950s to 1970s, when clothes were made to last and design had real character. That passion is at the core of everything we do here.

What We Believe

We’ve been advocating slow, sustainable fashion for years. Fast fashion isn’t cheap, it costs the earth.

Our mission is simple:
Buy vintage. Reject fast fashion.

Vintage clothing lasts longer, fits better, and has a story to tell. Choose clothes with real craftsmanship and classic cuts that never date.

We specialise in French vintage workwear and military clothing, carefully selected for quality and authenticity. Military garments in particular are built to last a lifetime when properly looked after.

How We Work

Every two months we head out on road trips across France, sourcing fresh stock for the shop. We don’t buy by the kilo like many do. Every piece is chosen individually for its fabric, feel, and history.

We also wholesale to shops, online stores, and vintage traders around the world. If you run a store or stall and would like to collaborate, we’d love to hear from you.

Customer service is always our top priority. We reply quickly, resolve issues immediately, and do everything we can to help. Our feedback reflects the care we put into every order.
